In the summer of 2013, when the Lambton Mainstreet Players did not receive sufficient funding to operate, I successfully applied for the Ontario Summer Company program to create my own performance group. The group, called Sounds of Summer, addressed the former market audience of the Lambton Mainstreet Players and expanded it to include venues such as private parties and restaurants. I successfully operated Sounds of Summer as a small business for three months, addressing all marketing, budgeting, and administrative needs as well as performing at over 60 events across Lambton County.
